Lily Newman is the owner and MD of James Morgan Consultants, a high-level business coaching and training provider, they specialise in “bespoke leadership and behavioural change programmes, inspiring speaker events and the opportunity to kick-start motivational motors”. They regularly deliver leadership and people management on the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Programme in the UK and have done for the past 7 years. And so it was a pleasure for Colour in Media to be asked to work on a new project with Lily and the Team.

In January 2019 Morgan James will be running their Strategic Leadership Programme, targeted towards either new business directors, or those looking to freshen up their skills and really get to grips with how to drive growth, Lily asked us to help generate some leads for this course and to fill the last 4 places available, of course we jumped at the chance.

After taking the time to get under the skin of Morgan James Consulting, we took a step back to look at how Morgan James has advertised in the past and what has worked well, we noticed that Lily personally has a great organic engagement rate on LinkedIn, and so we used that as a starting point.

We wrote Lily an article to post to her profile which focuses on developing your skills as a strategic leader, it shares some small insights and then leads into explaining the course, it’s a natural and organic way to utilise Lily’s already great engagement on the platform.

From there we ran a series of ads on LinkedIn, either using the article as content or new creatives including a lead generation form, advertising the programme and it’s benefits to a targeted audience, we regularly reviewed how these different creatives were performing and adjusted them accordingly.

Within the first week of the campaign, two of the leads that we generated from our work converted into bookings, meaning that already Morgan James has seen a 600% return on investment with Colour in Media. We’re continuing the campaign and are very confident that we’ll help Lily fill the remaining 2 places in no time at all!
